Several wonderful things have happened the first quarter of 2016 for our ministry in Nepal.
These things will help pave the way for remainder of the year.
First, we baptized nine adults in June. There were two baptismal services. One in Kathmandu and one in Bardia. Both churches continue to see adult converts. At the present time there are many adults that have come to Christ and are in our baptismal training classes. We are planning to have at least one more baptismal service in 2016 in the fall.
Second, the work on the building project in Dhading is nearing completion. All the building materials for the building have been transported to the site. The men of the Kathmandu church spent several days in June helping with the construction. We are praying the project will be finished by the end of September. The building dedication is planned for November.
Third, we had a great blessing in the spring. A group from the states visited the Kathmandu church. Pastor Eddie Lyons of the High Street Baptist Church in Springfield, Mo. and several men from the church came to Nepal. Accompanying them on the trip was Bruce O’Neal from Manna Worldwide and several men on the Manna staff. It was such a blessing for our people to meet each man and hear their testimonies.
Every year I experience the same thing about this time. I realize that the year is already half over. For the ministry in Kathmandu and Bardia this year has been a very fruitful season.
We are trusting the Lord to make the last half of 2016 just as fruitful. Thank you for your prayers and support. May the Lord continue to bless you as you labor for Him.
